All of the following services are typically provided year-round and by appointment only.

Consultations & Advocacy

  • A consultation is an informal conference with the parent/guardian and, often, the student. This is a time for honest conversation and for the parent/guardian to share concerns and helpful documentation to determine learning goals and potential future educational services or therapies.

  • Ocassionally, parents may also desire to seek out a greater understanding of the terminology and process for considering a multi-facted evaluation and/or a potential service within their own local school districts. Consider scheduling a file review to educate yourself on the IEP process and your rights. If you are on a unique educational journey, please consider choosing The Learning Cottage, Inc. to be part of your special education advocacy team. (Please note: The Learning Cottage, Inc. is not, in any way, a legal representative.)
